Motoitalia Philippines Incorporated, the official distributor of Vespa, launched the newest member and revisited a staple of the iconic Vespa family last Saturday, July 30, at the Vespa Showroom at the Bonifacio Global City.

Autohub Group President, Mr. Willy Tee Ten on the Vespa PX 150
In a simple ceremony hosted by Autohub Group President, Mr. Willy Tee Ten and Piaggio Asia Sales Manager Mr. Neri Miclaus, visitors were introduced to the Vespa GTS 150, the smaller brother of the beefy Vespa GTS 300ie. Equipped with the 150cc 4 stroke 3V engine, the GTS 150 gives the same economical ride as the Vespa LX, Primavera and Sprint, but with the bigger body and increased storage space of the GTS model.

In a move that surprised regular Vespa enthusiasts, the Vespa PX was also re-launched along with the GTS. Introduced in 1977, the PX model, with sales exceeding 3,000,000 units, is the most recognizable scooter in the world. When people mention Vespa, the profile of the Vespa PX is what immediately comes to mind. Still sporting the reliable single cylinder 2 stroke engine, the current variant of the PX has changed very little since it was introduced. With a limited production run, the Vespa PX is slowly becoming a collectors item around the world.

Members of the media and Vespa enthusiasts were also able to test the scooters and see for themselves what keeps drawing people to the iconic brand.
